Three years ago, on February 1, 2023, Connected Therapy was born 💙

Lisa May created Connected with a vision: a practice that makes a real impact in our community and truly cares for the therapists and interns who make the work possible. Fair pay. Real support. A culture that prioritizes self-care.

We’ve stayed grounded in that mission and grown into a trusted pillar in our local mental health community.

Grateful. Proud. Just getting started. ✨

Healing is not about forcing change. It is about creating enough safety for change to happen naturally.

Sometimes the hardest part of growth is letting go. Like the trees in fall, we can release what no longer serves us and trust that new seasons will bring renewal. 🍂

Letting go is not about forgetting or giving up. It’s about giving yourself permission to move forward with a little more lightness and a little more hope.

“Healing is a journey—one that begins with the courageous choice to reach out. Acknowledging that we need support is not a weakness; it is a profound act of self-awareness and strength. Emotional healing often requires us to slow down, gently explore our inner world, and hold space for the parts of ourselves that are hurting. This process takes time, vulnerability, and deep self-compassion.

As your therapist, my role is to walk alongside you—offering presence, care, and respect, no matter where you are on your path. I am committed to creating a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach is always client-centered, with a focus on empowering you to connect with your inner wisdom and move toward a life that feels more free, grounded, and whole.

Since 2011, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate a wide range of emotional and behavioral health challenges. I specialize in addiction recovery, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and more. I work with adults and couples, using an integrative approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and inner-child healing work. I also have formal training in Written Exposure Therapy for trauma.

For those who are seeking a spiritually integrated approach, I offer Christian counseling upon request, with a focus on biblical inner healing.

Healing is not something you have to do alone. Whether you're navigating pain from the past or facing present-day challenges, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can create a path forward that honors your story and supports your transformation—body, mind, and spirit.”

September holds both change and awareness. 🌿 In honor of Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, our latest blog offers small ways to ground yourself and support others through this season. 💛

September can feel like a month of transition. The long days of summer start to fade, kids are back in school, and routines become a little more structured. For some, this shift feels grounding, but for others, it can stir up stress, sadness, or even a sense of loss for the slower pace of summer.Thi...
