Today, in office, we completed emergency extraction of tooth 5 due to a fractured root and apical abscess. The tooth was atraumatically extracted, all granulation tissue was removed, an immediate implant was then placed with bone graft and collagen barrier due to buccal dehisence. Wonderful result. Fun case. Here we completed an immediate implant on tooth 28. The first picture is before and after. You can see the fracture through the J shaped radiolucency on the pre op radiograph. The second picture shows the pre op tooth, envelope flap, minimally traumatic extraction, implant placed prior to graft, and primary closure achieved. Fun case all in office.
