Becca's path into emergency medical services didn't start in a classroom. It started on the front lines as a firefighter. While fighting fires was rewarding in its own right, it was the medical side of the job that truly called to her. That pull led her deeper into EMS, where she went on to earn her credentials as a Critical Care Paramedic, and her drive to grow didn't stop there.
Becca was recently selected as the recipient of a grant that covers her full tuition for RN school, a well deserved recognition of her dedication, work ethic, and commitment to advancing her career in emergency and critical care. We also want to extend a special thank you to TMCC Nursing, Maxine S. Jacobs, for making that opportunity possible.
When asked about the most rewarding moments in her career, Becca puts it simply. It is about impact. Stabilizing a critically ill patient, guiding someone through a frightening emergency, knowing that your calm under pressure made a difference in someone's most vulnerable moment. That is what keeps her going.
Balancing work, school, and family is no small feat, but Becca's motivation is clear. "I want my daughter to see that hard work, discipline, and perseverance can open doors." That drive to lead by example is at the heart of everything she does.
Outside of the job and the books, you will find Becca adventuring with her family, traveling, diving, and exploring the outdoors. She also fuels her focus through endurance sports, running and training for races to stay sharp in mind and body.
We are grateful to have Becca on the Tech Med team and excited to watch her continue to grow in this field.
