The Reno Aces are spreading holiday cheer with toy donations to Renown Children's Hospital! Archie, the Aces mascot, stopped by earlier this month to drop off toys. This is just the first of eight toy drop offs, courtesy of Archie, this holiday season.

What a special surprise! Santa Claus had some extra time in his schedule this season, so Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District had an idea — bring him to say hi to the kids at Renown Children's Hospital! The crews put Santa in their ladder truck and lifted him up to the patients' windows, spreading lots of holiday cheer along the way.

🎁💛 Thank You, northern Nevada! 💛🎁

This season always brings an outpouring of generosity, and we are so grateful for the incredible community partners who help make the holidays brighter for our patients and families. A heartfelt thank you to Scheels, PetSmart, Masonic Lodge 13, and Learning Express Toys of Reno, NV for their amazing toy donations that fill our halls with joy.

These donations also support our annual Snowpile on Christmas Eve, where parents of inpatient children are able to pick out toys for their kids, ensuring every child experiences a little holiday spirit, even while in the hospital.

Your kindness brings comfort, normalcy, and extra magic to children spending the holidays at Renown Children's Hospital. We are endlessly grateful for these partners and or everyone in our community who made a heartfelt donation. Because of you, the warmth and wonder of the holidays reach countless families. 💛🎄

A huge thank-you to the 7-ELEVEN Cal Neva FOA for hosting their annual golf tournament this summer to support Renown Children's Hospital our local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

This year’s tournament raised an incredible $30,000, helping provide lifesaving care for local children and families. We’re grateful for their continued partnership and generosity.

Sinter and Smoke are dressed up and ready for their close-up (and the holiday season, of course)!

As proud Renown Pet Therapy volunteers, Sinter and Smoke love to soak up all the attention they get from everyone at Renown. Their owner, Marie, says that visiting kids and adults throughout the hospital floors brings both dogs lots of joy:

“It is so rewarding to know that our visits are meaningful to patients, visitors and employees. I recall an especially memorable moment: Smoke and I were on the post-surgical floor, and a family member that had just lost a loved one asked if we could go to Fianna’s Healing Garden to spend time with them. Smoke and I spent 45 minutes on a bench with the family member and a few other relatives. We did not talk much; she found comfort in petting Smoke the whole time. It still brings tears to my eyes that Smoke could give comfort to a grieving family in the midst of such a loss.”

For AJ and Ted Conrads, giving to Renown Health Foundation is deeply personal. Their philanthropy honors their son, Dane, who fought liver failure at only five days old. Thanks to an organ donor, Dane received a life-saving liver transplant just a few weeks later.

The Conrads’ gifts help strengthen pediatric services in northern Nevada, so children with critical health issues can get the care they need wherever and whenever they need it.
