We’ve all heard about the power of a mother’s intuition. Turns out, the power of a sister’s intuition can be equally impactful. This rings especially true for Champion Child LeAnne Wallace and her sister, Emerie, who stood by LeAnne’s side throughout her entire leukemia journey.

Hear Emerie’s point of view.

Fiona, our March , brings quiet comfort to patients across Renown. This nine-year-old miniature schnauzer enjoys long naps, car rides and meeting new people. Her favorite treats are Salmon jerky and red peppers.

Alongside her handler, Kris, Fiona has made meaningful visits across the health system, from Renown South Meadows to pet parades that bring smiles to patients and families alike.

One especially meaningful visit involved someone close to her handler who was receiving care at Renown. It was a reminder of how therapy dogs bring comfort not only to patients, but to the families and loved ones who support them.

A golden heart with a golden coat! 💛

Luna, our February , brings warmth and energy wherever she goes at Renown. This adventurous Golden Retriever loves hiking, playing tug-of-war and exploring the outdoors with her family. After a long day of spreading smiles, you might find her enjoying string cheese, peanut butter, a pup cup or even an In-N-Out burger.

It’s the moments inside the hospital that truly define Luna’s impact.
During a recent visit to our pediatric ICU, Luna surprised a young patient during their music therapy session. They lit up instantly. As the two of them sat quietly together, the patient turned and said, “This has been the best day ever.”

“Luna and I are so grateful for the opportunity to serve at Renown,” her handler, Ana, shared. “I am a witness to the therapeutic healing patients receive one visit at a time.”
