Happy Earth Day!
What better way to celebrate Mother Nature than to get out and enjoy the outdoors! Weather its a walk, hike, or run, spending time in the outdoors can improve mental and physical health. Studies have shown that:
1. Cortisol levels actually drop after spending time in the natural environment.
2. Heart rate decreased in subjects after spending time in nature.
3. Walking in nature was linked to decreased levels of anxiety.
