Renown Children's Miracle Network In 1985 Renown Children's Hospital became a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network. It has the region's only Children's ER and Pediatric ICU.

We are the only not for profit children’s hospital in northern Nevada. Funds raised by CMN business partners and programs stay local and support local children. Renown Children's Hospital is the only children's hospital in northern Nevada and offers a variety of programs and services designed specifically to care for families in our community. Renown Children's Hospital is also the only hospital affiliated with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) in the region and local CMN Hospitals' programs and events directly benefit children in northern Nevada.

Meet Shannon, a dedicated member of Renown Health's Women and Children’s Workgroup, a team of staff and community leaders who support and advocate for programs at Renown Children's Hospital, whose passion for giving back is rooted in service, connection, and community impact. 🌟

“I support Children's Miracle Network because I believe we’re all called to serve others. My favorite part about being a member of the Women and Children’s Workgroup is raising awareness for Renown and the extraordinary care it provides. I especially love connecting CMN with the local businesses I work with and organizing fundraisers for Renown. With every dollar raised, I’m motivated to do more. We’re welcoming the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Horse, with gratitude for Panda Express and their incredible commitment to children’s health across our community.

Thanks to Panda associates and guests, $92,571.11 was raised for Renown Children's Hospital in 2025, providing urgently needed support for the Child Life Specialist Program. Renown Children’s Hospital Child Life Specialists help children cope emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually during their care, closely aligning with the Panda Cares Center of Hope mission.

Because of Panda’s generosity, kids receive the care they need, when they need it most. Together, we can make big change for all kids.

💛 About Renown Children’s Hospital — Your Local CMN hospital Series: Wilbur D. May PICU

This month, we’re spotlighting the Wilbur D. May Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Renown Children's Hospital — a specialized care team dedicated to helping critically ill infants, children, and adolescents who need advanced monitoring and treatment. The PICU supports patients with serious illnesses, injuries, post‑surgical recovery, and other complex medical needs, all delivered in a compassionate, family‑centered environment staffed by highly trained pediatric specialists.

As the only children’s ICU between Sacramento and Salt Lake City, the PICU brings critical care close to home for families throughout northern Nevada and beyond. Your support through Children's Miracle Network helps ensure this essential care remains available for kids when they need it most.
