A big shoutout to our incredible surgery scheduler, Keri, for going the extra mile!

Keri recently got this sweet, unexpected thank-you—a beautiful cinnamon roll cake and a note from a patient couple, A. & J., who credit her for making a surgery with Dr. Demers possible.

The note says it all: “All hope was lost a few times on our end, so thank you for being our shining light at the end of the tunnel!”

Dealing with chronic pain is tough, and navigating the surgery scheduling process can be stressful. Keri’s dedication and care made all the difference to this couple.

We celebrate our outstanding imaging professionals who take great care of our patients who are getting MRI’s, Xray’s, and fluoroscopy guided procedures. Yesterday our team let their Halloween creativity shine. Gru and his minions were hard at work causing delightfully Despicable Me chaos, while a radiant hippie was spreading peace and love with a skeleton. We also had some babies making an appearance, with an Eagles fan, led by a friendly cowgirl, and other mischievous team members.

Our team is currently enjoying a well-deserved Nevada Day off! We wish all of you a Happy and Safe Halloween filled with treats and no tricks!

The combined expertise of Sierra Neurosurgery Group (SNG) and Renown Health has successfully introduced two groundbreaking neurosurgical treatments to our region: GammaTile Therapy for brain tumors and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for movement disorders.

We applaud the dedication of the physicians who made this possible, including SNG neurosurgeons Dr. Mike Moore and Dr. Rima Rindler, along with Renown Health radiation oncologist Dr. Suchit Patel, and the many highly skilled Renown teams involved in delivering this care.

GammaTile Therapy for Brain Tumors: This breakthrough technology is placed at the time of tumor removal surgery. GammaTile delivers highly concentrated and targeted radiation right at the source, effectively reducing tumor regrowth while protecting healthy surrounding brain tissue and limiting potential side effects.

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for Movement Disorders: This is a crucial new option for Parkinson’s patients and those with essential tremor or dystonia.
