Happy Veterans Day to the newest member of our ABI/WCX family, "Rob" Robinson. Rob retired from the US Army after serving more than two decades in the US Army's 1/509 Airborne Infantry Battalion and serving in the Iraq War. We are excited to have him as a new member of our team!

Is it time to consider a new x-ray system?

A typical x-ray system is designed to have a “useful life” of 10 to 15 years, depending on its use and maintenance.

Exceeding a system’s useful life can be impractical with costly long-term repairs, lack of manufacturer support or parts, lost ability to properly diagnose patients, and lost revenue if the system fails.

Is your DICOM data HIPAA compliant? If not, the penalties for noncompliance of the federal patient privacy laws can range from $100 to $50,000 per violation (or per record), with a maximum penalty of $1.5 million per year for violations of an identical provision. Violations can also carry criminal charges that can result in jail time.

Let's Keep Our Furry Friends Safe 💕

April is "National Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month" and West Coast X-Ray, Inc. would like your help raising awareness about cruelty to animals and working to end animal suffering.

We encourage you to help in any way you can, whether it be volunteering at your local animal shelter, or making a donation to a charity. Some of our favorite charities are Pet Network Humane Society, ASPCA, National Canine Cancer Foundation, and American Humane. We hope you will join us in this worthy cause!

Orangevale is getting a new veterinary clinic, Greenback Hazel Animal Hospital located at 8875 Greenback Lane! Dr. Pretheeban Thavaneetharajah went all out for his patients and staff by purchasing a new Summit InnoVet Select x-ray system and Rayence DR digital panel.

Direct digital systems eliminate the need for image-developing chemicals and make it easier to acquire quality images on the first shot - increasing overall efficiency. Most importantly, digital systems generally reduce the need for x-ray retakes, which reduces the amount of radiation patients and staff are exposed to. 👍
