I have learned that the mind is directly connected to health. Many of my patients are not just dealing with bleeding or hormone problems, they are dealing with excessive and chronic stress. Stress lowers the immune system, worsens pain, and also makes for a life without joy. My goal is to treat the gynecological needs of my patients as well as to teach them how to lower their stress levels and find happiness. This involves treating the whole woman and working on nutrition, fitness, and mindfulness. Mindfulness can be found through meditation, yoga, readings, and creative endeavors. I have a passion for fitness and have been involved in teaching fitness for thirty years. Fitness helps us age with complete function of our bodies. Fitness that allows us to do everything in life that we enjoy without injury is critical to health and happiness. I believe in treating patients with kindness and compassion. My job is to give the proper information to my patients so that they are able to choose the treatments that are best for their health. I like to spend as much time as needed with my patients which is why I have moved into a direct patient care model. I want my patients to have lightness and joy. Light stress, light bodies, and the light of love. LYGHT stands for Love Yourself Gentle Healing Therapy because to achieve true happiness you have to love and connect with your true self.
