A First for Malaysia in Hand Trauma Innovation
Recently, Dr. Kumarendran Kanesan performed Malaysia’s first metacarpal fracture fixation using the current-generation Metacarpal Nailing Technique with OIC International at Hospital Cyberjaya.
This landmark case marks a major step forward in minimally invasive hand trauma management—delivering stable fixation with smaller incisions, minimal soft tissue disruption, and faster recovery.
We’re proud to confirm that OIC has regulatory clearance in Malaysia to perform these procedures, enabling surgeons to confidently adopt advanced techniques that elevate patient outcomes.
