Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada WIC

ITCN WIC is a special supplemental nutritional program for Women, Infants and Children.

ITCN WIC provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for qualified pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women and to infants and children up to age five. Since its beginning in 1974, the WIC Program has earned the reputation of being one of the most successful Federally-funded nutrition programs in the United States. Collective findings of studies, reviews and reports demonstrate that the WIC Program is cost effective in protecting or improving the health/nutritional status of women, infants and children.

ITCN WIC will be closed from December 30th through January 2nd as we move to a new office location. Our new office is located at 910 Roberta Lane, Sparks NV 89431.

We will reopen on January 5th and are looking forward to serving you in our new office! Thank you for your patience and support as we make this transition. We wish you and your family a safe and happy New Year.

As the weather cools down, it’s the perfect time to make warm, nourishing meals that your whole family can enjoy! Get ideas with our winter weather favorites using WIC-approved foods:

🥣 Oatmeal, grits, or cream of wheat with your favorite toppings (fresh or frozen fruit with your favorite milk OR cheese and an egg on top for a savory option)
🍚 Rice and beans, canned or dried, with your favorite seasonings (you could cook your rice in broth for extra flavor!)

🍜 Soups and stews using your family’s favorite veggies (you can add in beans or whole grain pasta to boost the nutrition of your recipe)
