Z dentistry A balanced approach to dental health Dr. George Zatarain was born and raised in Reno. Dr. Zatarain has a three fold vision for his practice.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno. He attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1991. Dr. Z pursues continuing education opportunities in the areas of smile design, cosmetic dentistry, implants and implant supported dentures, orthodontics, oral surgery and root canals. First, Dr. Z and his staff assist every patient to attain a basic, pain-free, disease-free level of health. Secondly, Dr. Z presents patients with options to produce excellent smiles. These options include whitening, tooth replacement, teeth straightening, and a variety of cosmetic procedures including veneers, crowns and tooth colored fillings. Overarching the practice of dentistry is the goal to provide outstanding customer service. This includes warm, caring communication; staff who listen and respond to your questions and concerns; follow-through in providing you with the answers you want; appointments that start and end on time; assistance to maximize your insurance benefits; and a variety of financing options. Many patients express their happiness in finding Dr. Z. They compliment Dr. Z on how caring, gentle and polite he is to them. They appreciate his calm, reassuring manner and willingness to listen to them. Many of the patients at Z dentistry have been referred to Dr. Z by their family or co-workers. Dr. Z enjoys hiking, biking and music. Many years he has traversed the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim in one day, including one year when he hiked Rim to Rim to Rim. Week long biking trips have taken him through northern California, Washington and Oregon. Playing the guitar is a weekly pastime for Dr. Z. Year round outdoor activities such as skiing, fishing, motocross, camping and travel are also part of Dr. Z’s life outside of the dental office.
