PerformancEDU Training Facility was created by Marc Digesti in January of 2010, with the goal of merging Performance and Education in the Reno/Tahoe area. The primary goal of PerformancEDU is to continue to provide its clients and athletes with the most effective training in the Reno/Tahoe area. All of our programs emphasize a movement-based training methodology, which are periodized to prepare our clients and athletes for sport and life.

August Challenge: Conquer Mt. Rose – EDU Style

This month, we’re challenging every member to simulate hiking Mt. Rose — but the Performance EDU way.



The Challenge
• Distance: 5.2 miles (the distance to hike Mt. Rose)
• Weight: Carry ¼ of your body weight
• Where: Complete the distance using laps across the turf, around the gym, and around the building
• Duration: Entire month of August

You can walk, ruck, or hustle your way through — just move with purpose and stay consistent.



We’ll Provide
• The distance of the turf in feet
• One full lap around the gym
• One loop around the building

These metrics will help you calculate your laps and stay on track to hit 5.2 miles.



The Goal

Build physical and mental resilience. Just like hiking a mountain, this will push you outside your comfort zone. The challenge is simple — show up, carry the weight, and finish what you start.

At Performance EDU, we believe that fitness is built from a strong foundation. Healthy movement starts from well coached positions, proper activation, and a desire to move well. Our passion is coaching. Our facility is designed to facilitate healthy movement. And our intention is to stimulate our clients’ desire to move. Our equation for a good foundation is simple. Get the right parts of the body activated, you will move pain free. Teach someone to move correctly, strength will continue to increase. Pain-free moving where strength continues to grow develops an increasing desire to get better, grow stronger, and move well. Foundations are the strength below every building, and the body is no different. Build your foundation and your body will grow strong, be resilient, and have longevity, whether you are an athlete, a weekend warrior, or just someone interested in looking and feeling good.
