Many people worry that cell phones might cause cancer because they emit radiofrequency radiation and are used so widely. Brain and central nervous system cancers have been of particular concern since phones are held close to the head and higher energy ionizing radiation can cause some cancers.

The good news? Extensive research so far shows that cell phone use does not cause brain or other types of cancer in humans. Focusing on what you can control, like screenings, healthy habits, and self care, remains the best way to protect your health.
