Mymenopalz Supporting women in perimenopause & beyond. Partnering with employers to strengthen retention and reduce burnout.

This week, MenoPalz CEO and Co-Founder Raquel Riggle and Co-Founder Debbie McCarthy attended the SHRM Northern Nevada breakfast meeting, connecting with HR leaders focused on the future of the workforce.

Leadership expert Morgan Massie shared insights from her Five Coaching Conversations Model. One takeaway stood out:

Great leaders manage process. Exceptional leaders develop people.

The program also included a Legal Minute on workplace policies supporting employees through pregnancy, maternity, and other life transitions, along with insights from LP Insurance on the importance of health plan data and claims transparency. When organizations understand their data, they make stronger decisions about benefits, policy, and retention.

At MenoPalz, we believe menopause belongs in the same leadership conversation as maternity and caregiving. When organizations acknowledge the realities employees face across different stages of life, they strengthen culture, leadership, and long term workforce retention.

Grateful to connect with leaders across the SHRM Northern Nevada community, including Lauren Lutsch, Johnny Skowronek, Mark Tullman, and Karyn Jensen, and to reconnect with John Brownell of the Nevada National Guard as he prepares for retirement after an exceptional career of service.

Important conversations are happening. And we are proud to be part of them.

Today we celebrate women.

But leadership isn’t built on the days that look perfect.

It’s built on the days you’re running into a meeting late, realizing you have a cowlick on the back of your head, running on two hours of sleep, and trying to remember the word that just disappeared from your brain.

It’s the day after a speech when you’re thinking, Did that even land?
It’s brain fog.
It’s wondering if you underperformed.
It’s scanning the room for one familiar face.

And if you lead long enough, you learn something important.

The strongest leaders are never doing it alone.

Not because they need rescuing.

Because great leadership is built in rooms where people show up for each other.

The colleague who keeps the meeting moving when your brain stalls.
The teammate who laughs when the day goes sideways.
The one who sees you fully and never asks you to be anything other than exactly who you are.

Those people don’t just make work easier.
They make leadership possible.

At MenoPalz, we believe strong workplaces are built the same way strong leaders are.
By building cultures where people don’t have to hide the realities of life in order to lead.

Happy International Women’s Day.

We recently had the privilege of sitting down with Kate Wells on Take a Pause with Menopalz — and it was one of those conversations that stays with you.

Kate co-founded Parlor Games in 2020 with her longtime friend Kirsti Hegg after recognizing a massive gap in menopause education and hormone literacy. After years in hormone science and clinical lab leadership, Kate saw firsthand how many women were navigating midlife changes with little clarity, fragmented care, and far too much silence. Parlor Games was created to change that — blending science, transparency, and community so women can make informed decisions about their health.

What resonated most in our discussion is this: when women understand what’s happening in their bodies, everything shifts. Confidence improves. Health outcomes stabilize. Leadership capacity strengthens.

And for employers, this isn’t a side conversation — it’s a business imperative.

Supporting women through perimenopause and menopause reduces absenteeism, protects institutional knowledge, improves engagement, and drives measurable ROI. When women feel supported, performance follows.

Grateful for Kate’s leadership and for the meaningful work she and her team are doing to elevate hormone literacy and normalize this stage of life.

If you’re ready to move from awareness to action, let’s talk.

Contact MenoPalz to explore how structured menopause support can reduce absenteeism, protect retention, and strengthen performance across your organization.

The conversation is powerful. The implementation is transformational.

Three photos.
Same woman.
Different arenas.

The one everyone leans on - Sister and Daughter.
The one who keeps it moving - Mom and Wife.
The one leading the charge - Founder and Ceo.

We can carry all of that.
And still be exhausted.
Still be foggy.
Still be struggling quietly.

Menopause doesn’t stay in one room.
It follows us — from kitchen to boardroom.
Most women won’t say anything.

We’ll adjust.
We’ll push through.
We’ll overdeliver.

Until we can’t.

Support shouldn’t depend on where we show up.
Strong women deserve real support.

And forward-thinking workplaces are choosing to provide it.

If you’re a woman navigating this season — you don’t have to do it alone.

If you’re an employer who values experienced talent — let’s build something smarter.

Start the conversation.

The EVolution Experience powered by Empowered Ventures on January 31 reminded me why this work matters.

Part of the Mymenopalz team and I were honored to be part of a day that left women with more than cute photos - it left real tools, real clarity, and real connection.

From personality breakdowns (fan favorite) to confidence, voice, and presence… it was powerful. And honestly - isn’t it just good to know who the hell you are? It explains so much about how we lead, communicate, and show up in every room we walk into.

These conversations don’t stay personal - they cross directly into the workplace. When women understand themselves, they lead differently, work differently, and advocate differently.

Showing up in rooms with women thought leaders keeps Menopalz sharp, current, and grounded in real-life strategies - so we can keep building meaningful education and awareness for employers and employees alike.

Menopalz isn’t just starting conversations.
We’re changing how women are supported at work - period.

Not everything that looks like rest is laziness.
Sometimes it’s strategy.

At Menopalz, we believe confidence comes from capacity — and capacity comes from knowing when to push and when to reset. Burnout isn’t the goal. Sustainable energy is.

Tonight’s reset: magnesium mocktail, a quiet moment, and Lifestyle Reno setting the tone for a calm nervous system and a strong tomorrow.

Something is building. And we’re moving with intention.

If you’re ready to build confidence, capacity, and longevity in how you live and work, follow Menopalz or connect with us to learn how we support people and organizations preparing for what’s next.

We did a special Super Bowl edition of Take a Pause with Menopalz and this conversation felt important to have right now.

While everyone was focused on the game, we talked about what so many people are quietly dealing with every single day — at work, at home, and in their own bodies.

Menopause doesn’t pause for big life moments. And I see way too many incredible women still showing up, still performing, still taking care of everyone else… while struggling in silence.

This episode is real talk. Real strategies. Real awareness. And the kind of support I wish more women knew was available.

If you have ever felt like you just had to push through, this is for you.
If you love someone who is going through this, this is for you too.

If it resonates, give it a listen and share it with someone who might need it.

And thank you, always, for supporting Menopalz and this mission. It means more than you know.

Menopause is not a personal issue. It’s a workplace reality.

At a time when women are often at the height of their leadership and influence, menopause is still treated as something to manage privately—if it’s acknowledged at all. Forward-thinking organizations are changing that.

Menopalz supports both employees and employers by bringing menopause awareness into workplace culture—without stigma, shame, or silence. Through education, vetted menopause resources, and gentle, practical workplace accommodations, Menopalz helps organizations support women in maintaining their health, hormonal balance, confidence, and productivity.

The result is meaningful and measurable:

• Better work-life balance
• Retained, experienced talent
• Supported leadership at every level
• Women who don’t have to choose between their health and their careers
Menopause isn’t a setback. With the right support, it’s a reset—and workplaces that recognize this protect the people who have worked too hard to be lost to silence.

If you’re a founder or HR leader thinking about retention, leadership longevity, and building a truly inclusive culture, this is a conversation worth having.
