It’s Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. As we greet the new season, remember that you’re not alone.

The Nevada Warmline is a stigma-free, non-crisis peer support phone service. You can call 775-241-4212 12:00 NOON – 10:00 PM, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. You will speak one-on-one with a Peer Wellness Operator. The Warmline is confidential and staffed by trained peers in recovery who provide support to individuals impacted by mental illness or life stressors.

More people are turning to AI tools to ask questions about mental health, which makes clarity and safety more important than ever.

NAMI is leading a new effort, in partnership with Dr. John Torous, MD MBI, a member of NAMI’s Scientific Advisory Council, and Harvard-affiliated digital psychiatry researchers, to examine how AI tools respond when people seek mental health information and support.

The goal is to provide clear, independent information the public can trust, grounded in evidence and lived experience.
