Fibromyalgia
Fortunately, one known fact is that fibromyalgia does not progress or lead to any serious disease or destruction of body tissue. However, those who have this medical condition experience pain, muscle aches, headaches, depression, bladder trouble, insomnia, anxiety and numbness or tingling. Low serotonin and tryptophan levels have been associated with fibromyalgia. Taking 5-HTP and magnesium dietary supplements can help combat the depression and insomnia, omega-3s will help reduce the inflammation.
A healthy diet, exercise, stretching, flexing, sufficient rest (at least 8 hours of sleep at night) and good nutritional supplements will be more effective in relieving pain than painkillers would.
