November stirs a lot of emotions.
I lost both of my grandfathers in the month of November, a year apart, a few years ago.
Dia De los Mu***os teaches us that those who came before us are not gone- they live through memory, story, and the quiet ways they shaped who we are.
The name "Solavi" comes from the combination of both my beloved grandfather's names- Solis and Avila.
The colors of my logo are both of my grandmothers' favorite colors- peach and burgundy.
My entire practice is a combination of where I came from, who I am because of them, and where I'm going. It is my way of honoring my family, our traditions, and how my past has shaped me.
I am grateful for them.
Beginning today, I will be posting a weekly ✨Self-Reflection Sunday✨ — a gentle invitation to pause and reconnect through journaling, contemplation, and shadow work.
It’s my way of slowing down with you — honoring where we come from and making space for the stories still unfolding. Together, we’ll explore the threads that connect our past, present, and becoming. My hope is that these reflections help you feel more grounded, more seen, and a little less alone as we navigate change and remember where we come from, just as they’ve guided me.
🦋Today's prompt:
🕯What is still alive in me from those who came before?
🕯How do your ancestors, mentors, or past versions of yourself influence the way you show up today?
