Even though it’s still cold and wet outside, our bodies, like the plants and animals, know what season it is.
Spring and early summer are great times to cleanse the body of toxins built up from food, environmental and emotional overload. So my friend Dana Dalassujgi and I are offering our Everyday Renewal workshop again in June. Dana will lead yoga practices that help wring out the old, bring the body, heart, and mind into alignment, and welcome in fresh vitality. I will be leading a class on diet and daily practices to help move toxins out of the body and help rebuild and rejuvenate the body’s natural ability to cleanse. Then we’ll get hands-on, making fermented ginger carrots and beet kvass (a cleansing drink), two great ways to incorporate the bounty of the season into the diet in ways that help cleanse and build.
