Veterinary Oncology Center in Renton is seeking to expand its team with one Experienced Veterinary Assistant and one technician. Both positions are full time, Mondays through Thursdays.

To be considered for this position you need the following qualifications:
* you MUST have worked as a veterinary assistant for at least 3 years or one year as a veterinary technician.
* have some experience with reading medical records and recognizing basic test results
* must be proficient to draw blood from jugular vein in dogs and cats (for technician position)
* must be proficient to place IV catheter in dogs and cats (for technician position)
* great attention to detail and ability/willingness to follow the established protocols
* good restraining technique (for both dogs and cats)
* good communication skills, positive attitude, willing to learn
* NO ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. We will train you extensively.
Job responsibilities will include (but not limited to) restraining patients for procedures and chemotherapy administration, draw blood from patients, prepare samples for laboratory submission, admitting daily patients, obtaining a history from clients and records, client communications, standard cleaning tasks and other typical veterinary assistant and technician duties. In the future we could train you to prepare and administer chemotherapy based on the level of technical skills.
