Grateful to host such an incredible group of leaders at our community.

We had the privilege of welcoming LeadingAge Washington for their Elevate training, alongside our founder & CEO Leon Grundstein, and an inspiring leadership team including Laura Hoffman, VP of Clinical & Regulatory Services, Annie Zell, VP of Consulting & Member Solutions, Sarah Whitmarsh, VP of Member Engagement, and Justin Wammock, Executive Director, GenCare Renton

What stood out most wasn’t just the training—it was the shared commitment to elevating what senior living can and should be.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Renton Chamber of Commerce as they welcomed Matthew Gardner, Chief Economist at Gardner Economics. Matthew delivered an insightful analysis of national, regional, and local economic trends and shared expert predictions on how these trends may impact businesses, real estate, employment, and future growth opportunities in Renton and the surrounding areas.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this informative discussion and to Matthew for providing such valuable perspectives on what lies ahead for our community and local economy.

Today we had a little unexpected adventure! 🐾

Nathan, one of our fabulous maintenance team members, was doing a routine trash walk when a bush started barking at him. Sure enough, a puppy had gotten loose and wrapped her leash around a tree, leaving her stuck out in the cold and rain.

Nathan carefully got her free, and the sweet girl happily led him toward what seemed to be her home at the nearby apartments. We posted her picture on the apartment community’s page and also contacted Animal Control just in case.

Not long after, the family saw the post and reached out to us. We were able to connect them with Animal Control so they could be reunited with their pup. 🐶💙

Moments like this remind us that at GenCare, we don’t just care for our senior population—we care about our whole community. Big shoutout to Nathan for keeping an eye out and helping a cold, scared puppy get safely back where she belongs!

What a truly delightful holiday celebration! From a surprise visit by the Grinch to live music and magical entertainment, the evening was filled with laughter, joy, and festive cheer. 

We are so grateful to our wonderful residents for bringing such warmth and spirit, and to our incredible staff for all the care and heart they pour into making moments like these possible. Thank you to everyone who made this holiday celebration so memorable!

Our community lit up tonight with the premiere of a short film starring three of our fearless residents — first-time movie stars who proved it’s never too late to try something new. With courage, humor, and heart, they stepped into the spotlight and reminded us all that joy has no age limit.
Oscar buzz? We’re just waiting for the Academy to return our call. 😉

Honoring Indigenous Heritage Month at GenCare!

As part of our Stay Sharp wellness focus, we're proudly celebrating Native American Heritage Month with a meaningful tribute led by our Vitality Assistant, Kerry, a proud member of the Tlingit Tribe of Alaska.

She created a beautiful display and educational presentation that invited residents to explore Indigenous traditions, stories, and contributions. This sparked thoughtful conversations and a deepening cultural awareness.

We’re grateful for her leadership and the way she brings purpose, creativity, and connection to our community.
