Thank you to all of the community members and Reston Hospital colleagues and providers who registered and donated blood at Reston Hospital's first 2026 Blood Drive last week. We appreciate the Trauma team's collaboration to get these amazing community events planned with the American Red Cross Virginia Region. We collected 41 whole donations from 50 donors! We are grateful for your participation and so proud of the impact your selflessness will have for patients in need of blood across the country.

Last Monday, January 12, was a momentous day as Reston Hospital celebrated the groundbreaking of our soon-to-be new freestanding ER and outpatient imaging center: Leesburg ER & Imaging! Our hospital leadership, medical staff, board members were so appreciative to be joined by Loudoun County and Town of Leesburg officials, and the Loudoun Chamber as well as Loudoun County Fire and Rescue. This is a milestone for Reston Hospital, HCA Healthcare and Loudoun County, VA.

“Leesburg ER & Imaging reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting people where they are,” said Nathan Vooys, chief executive officer for Reston Hospital Center. “The Northern Virginia region continues to grow and thrive, and we are proud to ensure that outstanding emergency care grows right alongside it. Together, we are building more than just a new facility — we are building peace of mind for families who deserve access to world-class emergency care, close to home.”
