Upper Valley ENT & Allergy is looking for a highly motivated LPN/Medical Assistant to join our team. We need someone who is hard working, detail oriented, and adaptable to the ever-changing healthcare industry.
THE ROLE
• Fulfills patient care responsibilities which includes organizing patient flow, accompanying patients to exam rooms, assisting providers in collecting specimens, collecting patient history, performing screenings per provider guidance, assisting physician with various procedures, charting, and relaying instructions to patients
• Answering patient questions and providing relevant information.
• Sending and scheduling requested referrals/ orders
• Fulfilling prescription request under physician supervision
• Scheduling patients for surgery, reviewing consents, and answering questions efficiently
• Administering allergy injections and performing allergy tests
• Stocking patient rooms with supplies and instruments
• Assisting providers and other staff, as needed.
• Request, prepare, and submit proper documentation to establish prior authorization for necessary medical services.
• Other marginal duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & TRAINING
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous Medical experience preferred
• Ability to multi- task
• Effective communication both verbal and written
• Spanish speaking a plus
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD- 10, & HCPC coding is a plus
SCHEDULE
Monday through Thursday 8:00-5:00, Friday 8:00-12:00
