Expectant mothers, this is for you!

I’m a doula and massage therapist. I offer a GTBO! (Get this baby out!) Massage for 37w+. This massage will not put you into labor but will simply aid in moving things along faster IF baby is ready.
This is a prenatal massage with special attention to labor inducing points on the body using reflexology techniques and an Essential oil that is known to specifically contract the uterus/induce labor (if baby is ready).
This massage is also a great option if you are in the early stages of labor and wanting to give it a boost.

Some reviews I’ve received from this massage are:
“I actually felt my uterus contracting while you were working on certain spots.”
“I was another 3 centimeters dilated from yesterday after my massage.”

Please message me for any questions or if you’d like to book your appointment.

Any use of pitocin in childbirth inhibits oxytocin release. This contributes immensely to many problems (physical and emotional/mental) both in childbirth and the postpartum period.

The Abdominal Lift and Tuck is one of the most effective early labor techniques for engaging the baby in the pelvis. This technique is to help the baby into the pelvis and through the pelvic brim (the baby may be -3 or -2 station).

The Abdominal Lift was introduced by Janie McCoy King, a Texas Engineer who wrote Back Labor No More. I learned it from Penny Simkin at her Birth Doula Training. I added the words “and tuck” to remind the user to tuck their pelvis. By this, I mean do a standing Posterior Pelvic Tilt (flatten the lower back).

Note: The Abdominal Lift and Tuck must be done during a contraction. You will want to move into position as soon as—but not before—the contraction starts. If you start too late it will be uncomfortable, so just wait to start with the following contraction.

As a contraction begins, link your fingers and lift your belly about two inches.
Bring your belly in (towards your spine) by one or two inches, depending on your size. Try to be as comfortable as possible.
At the same time, flatten your lower back. Your knees should be bent. Bending the knees, even just a little, is necessary to do a Posterior Pelvic Tilt.
Hold your belly up through the entire contraction. It’s okay to sway or rock a little on your legs during the contraction, but hold your belly in one place to avoid being uncomfortable.
When the contraction ends, lean forward slightly and slowly let go of your abdomen. Move your legs to encourage circulation.
Repeat the Abdominal Lift for ten contractions in a row, resting in between and circling your wrists and ankles for circulation.

for any moms wanting to breastfeed:
•your milk does not come in until 5-7 days AFTER birth. until your milk comes in you will produce something called colostrum which is enough to fill your baby up because their stomachs are so tiny.
•if your baby is wanting to nurse ALOT (even every 15 minutes) that is not an indication that your baby is starving. your baby is cluster feeding which is their way of telling your body to produce more milk & it is completely normal. LET THEM DO THIS. ITS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR SUPPLY.
•YOUR BABY CAN GET MUCH MORE MILK OUT THAN A PUMP CAN
•your breastfed baby will most likely never drink over 4-5oz at a time because your milk changes with the baby.
•pumping 2-4oz at a time is not an indication of low supply, it’s completely normal. - anything more would be considered an over supply.
this is just some of the things i wish someone would have told me when i started breastfeeding jaxson. 🤱

In any free birth story, there is never a woman who says she pushed for x amount of time. Baby is out within a couple contractions based off instinct and feeling alone. Minimal effort needed. If your provider is guiding you on how to push or when to push, don’t waste any future energy (literally) with them.

You do not HAVE to be induced. Nor SHOULD you be.
