Extra skills! Ready to work! Want to stand out as a new grad nurse? Be prepared with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) before you graduate!

BYU-I nursing students look toward many jobs that require ACLS within the first weeks or months of employment. Including this training as part of their education helps them learn these higher-level concepts providing them with an extra verification of their skills.

It is amazing to learn life saving techniques with faculty who bring experience from emergency, intensive care, search and rescue, military, and post operative nursing. Together students practice and test to earn the ACLS course completion card. The goal of ACLS is to ensure competent, well-trained, high-performance teams. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

Sister Tina Robins MSN, RN a faculty member from the Nursing Department offers insight into the Nursing Pre-licensure degree. Many students think the program is impossible to get into and be successful. There are many opportunities for graduates in this major and many students have some job offers before they graduate. The program is rigorous and challenging, but if the student works hard and can handle stress well, they will do a great job in this major.

The Nursing Society hosted an incredible event last night! We were able to hear experiences from Colonel Sanders and Dr. Bennion! We learned about military service as an RN as well as forensic nursing! It was great to explore career options as an RN and ask these two experts questions about these fantastic career opportunities! Lots of new faces joined us to see what the nursing society is all about! We canโ€™t wait until the next event! Thank you to everyone who was able to join us!
