🚿 MYTH: “If I just tough it out and wash my hair less often, my scalp will ‘train’ itself to produce less oil.”

❌ BUSTED!

Your scalp’s oil (sebum) production is mainly controlled by:
✅ Hormones (especially androgens)
✅ Genetics
✅ Sebaceous gland size & activity

Skipping washes doesn’t “train” your glands to make less oil — it just lets oil, dead skin, and product build up, which can actually make your scalp greasier over time and irritate it.
