MLK Day isn’t just a day “off.” It’s a day on. ❤️
Tbh, I’ve always had mixed feelings about “Days of Service.”
Sometimes it can feel performative… like we should be doing this all the time. Like how soup kitchens & other orgs get a flood of volunteers around the holidays… but need support all year long.
It’s a good reminder that community care is something we practice year-round.
With everything going on in our country right now… we need dedicated days of service as reminders.
Reminders to slow down, to reconnect, to look out for each other, and to choose love even when it feels harder than ever.
I don’t know what Dr. King would think if he saw us in 2026…
but I do believe he’d still want us to keep showing up in community, in kindness, and in action.
So on MLK Day, we’re doing what we can:
✨ move + reset together
✨ make sandwiches for our neighbors
📍 Lang Carson Community Center
🧘🏽♀️🧘🏻♂️Vin/Yin Yoga: 10AM (please reserve your spot)
🥪 Sandwich making starts after class ~ 11
is providing some supplies, & with your help we’re aiming to make 100+ sandwiches to donate to the free fridge in EAV.
Come for yoga. Stay for service. Or join for whichever part you can.
Every little bit counts.
