Arbor Ridge offers independent living, The Terraces offers assisted living, and The Baptist Home provides long term care, sub-acute rehabilitation, palliative care and Out-Patient Rehabilitation Services.

The Brookmeade Community stepped up to the plate in honor of Jackie Robinson Day! Residents and staff showed their team spirit by wearing baseball jerseys and gathering together to watch the inspiring film 42.

Jackie Robinson made history in 1947 when he broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier, becoming the first African American player in the modern era. Beginning his career with the Brooklyn Dodgers, Robinson not only showcased incredible talent on the field but also demonstrated courage, resilience, and determination in the face of adversity. His legacy continues to inspire generations and reminds us of the importance of equality, perseverance, and standing up for what is right.

To make the day even sweeter, we celebrated Banana Day and hit a grand slam with delicious banana splits, bringing smiles all around! It was a meaningful and fun-filled day honoring a true American hero.

We had an eggcellent time today at Brookmeade Community during our S.A.S.S. Program! Staff showed off their colorful spirit dressed in tie-dye while everyone enjoyed a delicious choice of quiche or pancakes, topped off with festive Easter cupcakes for dessert.

The fun continued with a special surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, bringing smiles and laughter to all! We also took a moment to recognize Brian Zeidan for Long Term Care Administrators Week and Jaime Stickles for Human Resources Week—we truly appreciate all that you both do!

Hopping right along with our Brookmeade Easter Spirit Week! 🐰

For April Fools’ Day, staff had everyone doing double takes as we wore our clothes inside out—many laughs were shared with “I think your shirt is on wrong!” heard all throughout the day!

We kept the fun going into the afternoon by enjoying the Easter movie *Peter Rabbit*, paired with a delicious pineapple upside down cake.

The Brookmeade Community enjoyed another wonderful day during Easter Spirit Week! 🌸 Staff celebrated the beauty of spring by wearing their favorite florals, filling the day with bright and cheerful energy.

Everyone had a great time participating in Easter trivia, earning extra raffle tickets for the staff Easter Raffle Baskets! We also took a special moment to recognize and honor our incredible Social Work Team for Social Work Month—thank you for the compassion and dedication you bring to our residents and families every day.

If that wasn’t enough, we were delighted to welcome Mark and his adorable pet therapy dog, Scully, whose visit brought smiles and joy to all our residents.

It truly was a beautiful day at Brookmeade!
