✨Horse of the Week: Meet Svali ✨
"Greetings, my friends… I am Svali frá Enni 🐴
Born in Iceland on 1/1/1990… which makes me 36 years young, and yes, I carry every year with quiet pride.
I traveled far in my lifetime, from Iceland to California, and then to Nature’s Edge in 2002, thanks to the kindness of David and Heidi Kline. And from that moment on… this became my home.
As a registered Icelandic horse, I have six gaits, including my smooth and steady tölt. In my younger years, I carried many riders and supported therapy sessions with strength and confidence.
Now, I’ve stepped into a different role.
While I am no longer being ridden, I remain deeply involved through equine-assisted therapy activities. Patients love to walk alongside me, talk with me, and simply be in my presence—and I take great care in those moments. Sometimes, healing doesn’t require riding… just connection.
I am the leader of the pasture, still playing hard with Sonny and keeping a watchful eye over my herd. And yes… I may still play a little game of “tag” when it’s time to be caught—I believe even the wisest horse should have a little fun 😌
I have little fear, steady footing, and a heart that understands. I meet each person exactly where they are, offering calm, strength, and trust.
And even now… I can still run freely across this property, just as I always have 💨
✨ Your support helps horses like me continue to live healthy, meaningful lives—long after our riding days are done.
✨ It allows us to keep giving… in quieter, but just as powerful ways.
💛 Would you consider supporting me and my herd during the Horses for Mental Health Campaign?
Because sometimes, the greatest impact comes not from what we do…
but from simply being there."
