This week, many of our patients became "Chicken Trainers" during their speech therapy sessions! 🐓

Our patients worked on communication, direction-following, and creativity by trying to teach Rudy how to play the piano. Therapy at Nature’s Edge is anything but ordinary! 🌿✨

What may look like a simple farm chore is actually meaningful therapy in action. Feeding the chickens naturally supports language development, following directions, sequencing, attention, social communication, and responsibility, all within a calm, engaging ranch environment. 🐓🌾

These authentic, real-life moments highlight how animal-assisted speech therapy builds confidence, communication, and independence through purposeful activities.

✨ Svali is turning 36 years old! ✨

Svali is a registered Icelandic horse and one of our most treasured seniors. Our patients absolutely love taking Svali on walks around the property, these moments support connection, communication, confidence, and calm engagement during therapy sessions.

This past year was filled with growth, progress, perseverance, and so many meaningful moments. None of it would have been possible without the unwavering support of our patient families, donors, grantors, volunteers, community partners, and friends near and far. Your belief in our mission allows us to continue providing medically prescribed therapy in a unique, nature-based environment where individuals can grow, learn, and gain greater independence.
