It's Parkinson’s Awareness Month. Village Shores residents and staff raised $1047 for the Parkinson's Foundation with our Parkour for Parkinson’s event with Ascend Rehabilitation!
High fives and bragging rights go to Team Mission: Imparkourable (aka Heidi & Tom) who took first place in our Parkour obstacle course competition. Staff members competed in teams of two stepping up (and over) while dodging noodles, ribbons.
Parkour is a training tool used at The Club to:
⭐Enhance balance and stability
⭐Improve coordination and large motor skills
⭐Develop agility, precision and spatial awareness
⭐Boost reaction time and cognitive processing
⭐Promote cardiovascular health
⭐Increase dopamine
