Regina Health Center is a Medicare/Medicaid certified nursing facility with 101-licensed nursing beds, a special dementia care unit, 54 assisted living units, respite care services, and short-term inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Located in Richfield, Ohio, Regina Health Center and its 220 employees provide compassionate and holistic health care services in a unique setting for people seeking a faith-based environment. This includes lay people as well as members of several Northeast Ohio religious communities, clergy from the Dioceses of Cleveland and Youngstown, and other persons needing supportive services or residential nursing care. There are 13 religious orders represented from the Dioceses of Cleveland and Youngstown. Regina Health Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System, which includes five acute care Catholic hospitals, two skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, three grantmaking foundations, and six health and human services organizations in Ohio and South Carolina.

His nomination from a fellow employee said, "Joel meets residents' needs and after completing a repair, he always returns to make sure the resident is comfortable and satisfied. Families across the nation are facing food insecurity as the federal shutdown disrupts SNAP benefits—the program that helps more than 266,000 households across South Carolina put food on the table each month.

We are deeply grateful that the has been reactivated to provide emergency food response across South Carolina. We are equally grateful to the Central Carolina Community Foundation for administering the fund, and to donors whose generosity allows food banks and local partners to step in during this difficult time. The philanthropic community and our nonprofit partners will, as always, do all they can.

But philanthropy cannot fill the gap left by the federal safety net. These programs exist precisely to ensure that, when families face hardship, they do not fall into hunger or despair.

This is not about politics. It’s about people.

Our community at Regina Health Center gathered today for a Mass of Remembrance to honor and remember those we have lost between October 2024 and September 2025. We hold them and their families in our prayers and celebrate the light they brought into our lives. This Mass was a beautiful tribute to their lives and we will continue to hold their memories in our hearts. Thank you to all staff, families, and volunteers who helped our Pastoral Care team make this so special.

Happy Halloween 👻 everyone ☠️
Today’s reverse trick-or-treat event here Regina Health Center was a huge success, filled with joy and laughter that resonated throughout the community. Residents had an absolute blast participating in the festivities, and the fun wasn't limited to them – our staff enjoyed the event just as much, making it a memorable and delightful experience for all.

One of our most popular, annual halloween events, is our collaboration with the Richfield Branch Library Children's Librarian, Diane Nagy and her pre-school reader's group. The little ones dress up in costume, trick or treat in our St. Augustine Assembly room with Regina Health Center Residents passing out candy. Afterwards the children and our Residents have time for snacks and socializing. Many smiles and great laughs are had.

Our monthly "Tap Time with Gina" class is growing! A creative mother and daughter patented "slip over shoe booties" with taps on the bottoms that we slip over Residents shoes so they can actually chair tap dance along with the instructor along to fun, upbeat music from the past.
