March 15, 2026, marks the Fourth Sunday of Lent, known as Laetare Sunday. Similar to Gaudete Sunday during Advent, Laetare Sunday serves as a joyful pause in the middle of the penitential season of Lent. It reminds us of the hope and joy we anticipate in the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection at Easter. On this day, the Church expresses this spirit of joy through the use of rose-colored vestments, just as on Gaudete Sunday.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Holy God, in Jesus Christ you reveal yourself to the world, even when we are blind to your grace. Open our eyes to see your transforming love in our midst, so that we may see your world anew; through Jesus Christ, the saviour who shows compassion. Amen.
We pray you continue to choose a Holy Lent!

We started the morning off on a good foot here Regina Health Center with a popular Community Service Project. Residents came together to put a record 150 sandwiches together in 45 minutes for St. Malachi Parish’s Food Pantry. Our Librarian and Switchboard Supervisor, Chris Mis spearheads this annual Lenten project with Activities and we are always grateful to lend a hand.

We are blessed to have enjoyed another staff appreciation day Regina Health Center! Continuing the "cabin fever" theme with a delicious hot chilli and baked potato bar, interactive candy-themed games like guessing Tootsie Fruit Chews, rolling for prizes, and a Mr. Goodbar game was a fun way to celebrate with each other! Thank you to our dining service team for going the extra mile, and thanks to all of our wonderful employees for everything you do every day for our residents. Godspeed.

In celebration of Black History Month, we enjoyed a performance on the life of Sojourner Truth, Abolitionist and Women's Rights Activist from the mid-1800's, who gave her famous historical speech, "Ain't I A Woman?" in 1851 at the Women's Rights Convention in the neighboring city of Akron, Ohio.
Sojourner Truth was portrayed by Robin Echols Cooper, a lifelong Actor, Storyteller and Educator, who grew up in Chardon, Ohio.
