In celebration of Black History Month, we enjoyed a performance on the life of Sojourner Truth, Abolitionist and Women's Rights Activist from the mid-1800's, who gave her famous historical speech, "Ain't I A Woman?" in 1851 at the Women's Rights Convention in the neighboring city of Akron, Ohio.
Sojourner Truth was portrayed by Robin Echols Cooper, a lifelong Actor, Storyteller and Educator, who grew up in Chardon, Ohio.

On the Feast of our Lady of Lourdes February 11, 2026, Regina Health Center celebrated the 175th year anniversary of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine Sisters of Charity Health System with a full afternoon prayer service beginning with thanksgiving to the CSA’s, anointing of the sick and adoration. We moved to an afternoon Vespers & Benediction. Thanks to our celebrants, lectors & anointing priests: Fr. Jamie Mazanec, Fr. Ralph Thomas, Fr. Michael Franz, Fr. Elmer Marquard, Fr. Paul Bernier, Fr. Jim Marsick, Deacon Mark Yantek and Sr. Judith Ann Karam.
We honored the CSA’s humble beginnings called to Cleveland’s early streets, hospitals, homes, social justice services and all things charity that span generations. We pray for blessings on their legacy. We pray to strengthen those who carry the mission forward today that they may serve with the same bold faith, quiet courage, and deep love for all.
One loving heart sets another on fire!

Feast Day February 11
O Lady of Lourdes, O ever-Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, Health of the Sick. I place my trust in your love and the power of your intercession. I bring you my needs, confident that you will bring them before your Divine Son. Help me to bear my burdens and, if it be His will, grant me the healing I seek. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us

February is the Great American Pie Month, so of course we needed to bake some for our wonderful Residents! Is there a bad day for a slice...or two...of pie? Several Regina staff members were kind enough to offer to bake pies and they really came through. The offerings included apple, cherry, blueberry, pumpkin, banana cream, chocolate and lemon meringue, made from lemons grown at Regina Health Center!

FEAST OF THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD – FEBRUARY 2

The day Mary and Joseph brought the Child Jesus to the Temple, offering Him to the Father according to the Law. In this sacred moment, the aged Simeon recognized Christ as the Light of the nations and the glory of God’s people.

This feast, also known as Candlemas, reminds us that Jesus is the Light who drives away darkness. As we present ourselves to God, we renew our faith and offer our lives in loving service.

Today we enjoyed a staff appreciation lunch to all the caring and dedicated employees who braved the elements to ensure that the residents were well cared for during the past weeks snow fall and frigid temperatures. Employees from every department showed heroic dedication over the past several days, from the hands-on care givers in the Nursing Department to the Dining Services workers who fed not only our residents but their fellow staff members as well. Our Maintenance and Custodian crew stayed on task in keeping ahead of snow removal, which was no small task! Housekeepers and Laundry workers made sure the facility stayed clean and tidy, and our Receptionists were here to greet visitors and answer telephone calls from anxious family members of residents. Support staff and Activities employees were on hand to ensure that our residents encountered no ill effects of the storm. This was truly a team effort, and our awesome staff rose to the occasion and tackled the challenge
head-on.
