Many families tell us the same thing: “I don’t even know what questions to ask.”
In just 30 minutes, our Navigators can help you make sense of disability services, talk through your situation, and identify possible supports or resources
It’s a simple first step if you’re feeling stuck or unsure where to begin.
Did you know disability is a natural part of the human experience—and something that connects all of us?
Understanding disability is the first step toward building more inclusive communities.
Join Lifeworks on April 16 for Disability 101, a virtual training designed to build awareness, challenge assumptions, and provide practical tools for inclusion.
In this session, participants will explore what disability is (and isn’t), learn respectful language and communication strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of how to create environments where everyone feels valued and included.
Today, Lifeworks clients and staff joined advocates from across Minnesota at Disability Day at the Capitol to raise our voices for inclusion and equity.
It’s always powerful to stand alongside so many individuals, families, and organizations working toward a future where people with disabilities are fully included in every part of community life.
At Lifeworks, we believe disability inclusion should be the standard, not the exception—and advocacy is a critical part of making that vision real.

For many people with disabilities, home is where independence begins.
Since 2000, Lifeworks has helped thousands of Minnesotans self-direct their in-home services so they can continue to live in their own homes and communities.
Our team partners closely with families and case managers to handle employer-related responsibilities, financial tasks, and budget management. We take on the complexities so you don't have to.
