We are in a mental health crisis…
but what if part of the conversation we’re missing is hormonal?

Your sacral chakra is more than energy—it’s your emotional center, your creative center, your reproductive center.
It’s where your hormones speak.

And when those hormones are imbalanced…
it doesn’t just stay in the body.

It shows up as:
• anxiety that feels like it came out of nowhere
• mood swings you can’t explain
• emotional disconnection
• depression, burnout, irritability
• lack of desire, lack of joy, lack of clarity

This is not just a “women’s issue.”

Men experience hormonal imbalances too.
Low testosterone, elevated cortisol, chronic stress, poor gut health…
all of it impacts mood, focus, emotional regulation, and overall mental well-being.

We’ve been taught to separate mental health from the body.
But the truth is… the body has been speaking the whole time.

And healing doesn’t always start with something complicated.

Sometimes it starts with something as simple as a daily ritual…
like drinking herbal tea that supports your endocrine system.

🌿 Herbs like:
• Raspberry leaf (womb support + cycle regulation)
• Ashwagandha (stress + cortisol balance for men and women)
• Spearmint (hormonal acne + androgen support)
• Nettle (mineral-rich, supports overall hormone health)
• Chamomile (nervous system + emotional regulation)

These aren’t trends.
These are practices our ancestors used to stay regulated, grounded, and well.

The goal isn’t perfection…
it’s awareness.

Because when you understand your hormones,
you understand your emotions.
When you understand your body,
you stop fighting yourself.

✨ This is your reminder: your healing is not separate from your body, it lives within it.

Call to Action:

Start paying attention.
Start asking questions.
Start supporting your body daily… even in the smallest ways.

Because the moment you begin to understand your hormones…
is the moment everything starts to shift.

04/22/2026

This isn’t just herbs… this is remembrance.

There was a time when everything our bodies needed came from the earth.
Before prescriptions… before confusion… before we were disconnected from our own bodies.

Our grandmothers didn’t ask, “Does this work?”
They knew!

Because it was all they had and it kept them balanced, fertile, and whole.

These herbs support your cycle.
They nourish your hormones.
They bring warmth, circulation, and restoration to your womb space.

So instead of questioning if it works…ask yourself🤔

What happens when I return to what was always mine?

WAIT😮‍💨

When was the last time you truly checked in with YOU?

Not your schedule.
Not your responsibilities.
Not who needs you.

You!

So many of us are showing up for everything and everyone,
but quietly neglecting ourselves in the process.

And the reality is, when you are not well…
it impacts how you show up in every area of your life.

Your energy.
Your relationships.
Your decisions.
Your purpose.

Wellness is not just physical.
It is emotional, mental, spiritual, social, environmental, occupational, and economic.

It is everything!

This is your reminder to pause.
To reflect.
To become aware.

What do you need right now?
What have you been neglecting?
What deserves your attention?

Prioritize your wellness.
Your life is connected to it.

Let’s talk about it.

Still sitting in gratitude and feeling oh so well🌿

Friday I had the honor of closing out Black Wellness and Black Maternal Health Week by being interviewed on Wellness Diaz with two incredible souls who are truly doing the work in community.

Thank you to Yessie Cruz and Stephen Cox for holding space, for the conversation, and for allowing me to come as my full self to represent Black Wellness Week and Black Maternal Health Week.

I was able to speak on what I love… what I’ve lived… and what I’m called to do.
From Revamped Wellness, to my work with TCDIC , to motherhood, fibromyalgia advocacy, and the importance of understanding wellness beyond the surface—this was purpose in motion!

And to hear that someone I serve was tuned in and listening in real time… that meant everything😁

This wasn’t just an interview.
This was alignment. This was impact. This was testimony.

Grateful for spaces that allow truth, story, and wellness to be heard.

Intentional Fridays 🤍

Intentions aren’t just thoughts… they are decisions.
They are the moment you choose to move differently, think differently, and show up as the version of you that you’ve been avoiding.

Being intentional means:
✨ Moving with purpose, not pressure
✨ Choosing growth over comfort
✨ Breaking the habits that keep you small
✨ Holding yourself accountable to the life you said you wanted

Your limitations are not facts… they’re patterns. And patterns can be broken.

So today, ask yourself:
What am I intentionally choosing to become?

Don’t just go through your day…
Lead it.

Life be lifing and yesterday was one of those days.

As many of you know, it was Tax Day, and my guest Messiah Aldridge, who also serves as a dedicated tax professional in addition to her wellness work, had an incredibly full and demanding day serving her clients and community.

Because of that, we were not able to go live at our scheduled time, and I want to sincerely thank everyone who still showed up, tapped in, and held space with me. I truly appreciate you.

The good news is… we are rescheduled.

Join us TODAY, April 16th at 5PM for

04/15/2026

I’m going LIVE again today at 6pm. This one is soul. This one is personal. 🤎

Today, I have the honor of not only sitting in my role as a host… but as a mother.

As we continue celebrating Black Wellness and Black Maternal Health Week, we are creating space to explore healing and wellness in the face of adversity, discrimination, and racism.

Join me as I go live with my incredible daughter, Anyla McDonald Anyla McDonald Anyla Dior McDonald

Anyla McDonald is the Program Director of Big Sis Academy, where she leads mentorship and leadership development for young women centered on confidence, identity, and purpose. She is also a Social Media Coordinator for TCD&IC, and a published author, speaker, and advocate. She writes for Black Lens News and Tumbleweird newspaper, contributing work that highlights community, culture, and equity.

Her book Black Joy & Black Tribulations is a #1 best-seller placed in 40+ locations across Washington State. Anyla has spoken at institutions including Whitman College, WSU, UW Bothell, and Columbia Basin College on leadership and equity. She also serves as Youth Advisor for NAACP Tri-Cities, Board Member for Sparkle Initiative, Program Lead for AACCES, and Ministry Leader at KFUMC, continuing her work to build empowered, connected communities.

She has navigated her own wellness journey while facing racism, discrimination, and experiences that challenged her identity, her self-worth, and how she saw herself in this world. And instead of allowing that to break her, she transformed that pain into purpose.

As her mother, I am beyond proud. Not just of what she has accomplished, but of who she is becoming.

This conversation is about resilience.
It’s about identity.
It’s about what it really looks like to protect your wellness in a world that doesn’t always protect you.

I’m going LIVE again at 5pm tonight, and this is a conversation we don’t talk about enough🪥🦷

As we continue celebrating Black Wellness and Black Maternal Health Week, we’re diving deeper into what whole-person wellness really looks like… and that includes our oral health.

Tonight, I’ll be joined by the joyful Dr. Erica Chambers, a dedicated dentist and advocate who is passionate about improving oral health and bringing awareness to underserved communities.

Dr. Chambers is a dedicated dentist who has committed her career to improving oral health, especially within undeserved communities.
As an advocate for health and wellness, Dr. Chambers understands that oral health is deeply connected to overall, whole body health. In her current position, she raises awareness about preventive care and stresses the importance of individuals taking charge of their well-being.
Dr. Chambers leaves a vital message with those she encounters that caring for ourselves is not just important, but essential.

This conversation is about understanding that caring for ourselves is not optional… it is essential. Our oral health is directly connected to our overall health, and the more we know, the better we can show up for ourselves and our families.
