Elderberry Syrup
Cold & Flu Seasonal Support
Rich in antioxidants and naturally anti-inflammatory, elderberry syrup has been traditionally used to support immune health, ease cold and cough symptoms, reduce congestion, and support gut health—especially during seasonal changes.
Ingredients
1 cup dried elderberries
4 cups filtered water
1–2 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 cinnamon stick or 1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp cloves (optional)
1 cup raw honey
1. In a saucepan, combine elderberries, water, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until the liquid reduces by about half.
3. Remove from heat. Gently mash the berries, then strain and discard the solids.
4. Allow the liquid to cool until lukewarm (this helps preserve the beneficial properties of raw honey).
5. Stir in raw honey until fully incorporated.
6. Pour into a clean glass bottle or jar and refrigerate.
