🏡 HOME Rehabilitation Program
Helping Kennewick homeowners stay safe, stable, and secure

The City of Kennewick’s HOME Rehabilitation Program provides vital assistance to income-eligible homeowners who need help addressing safety or structural issues in their homes. If you’re facing necessary repairs that are out of reach financially, this program may be able to help.

Through the HOME Program, residents can receive a 0% interest loan to address critical repairs such as:

🔧 Plumbing issues
🔥 Furnace or heating system replacements
🏠 Roof repairs or replacement
🪟 Window and door upgrades
♿ Accessibility improvements
đź’ˇ Electrical repairs
…and many other essential health and safety needs

A major benefit of this program is that the loan is forgivable after a set period of time—meaning that, depending on the loan amount, you may not have to repay it if you remain in the home for the required timeframe.

This program is designed to help homeowners stay safely in their homes, maintain long-term stability, and prevent small issues from becoming large, costly hazards.

If you or someone you know may qualify—or if you'd like to learn more about eligibility, the application process, or examples of eligible repairs—please visit https://www.go2kennewick.com/731/Programs-for-Low-Income-Families-Individ or contact our Housing & Community Development team.

A safer home is a stronger community. Let us help you protect yours.

Distance and Virtual Communication is a vital and necessary addition to the health, safety and quality of life for so many people.

The TED program can help those who are deaf, hard of hearing, live without speech or have a speech impairment receive equipment and training in order to connect with people/business/medical offices outside of their home. iPhones, iPADS, and electrolarynx devices are examples of what is available. Assistive technology equipment to support those who have physical disabilities are available as well. Training is provided virtually or in the home. Training is always free and equipment is often free as determined by sliding scale.
