We see it all around us, New Years resolutions, setting goals and intentions for the year to come, for the life we want or the person we want to be. There can often be a lot of internal and external pressure that drives our desire to change, but whether we decide to begin again at the start of a new year or just on any ordinary Tuesday it’s likely to be accompanied with mixed emotions. The idea of change can be really exciting but I think it’s possible that it can also feel really overwhelming and scary.

What does a new beginning really mean?

As we begin this new year, my hope is that we don’t get lost in the long lists or overwhelmed by the idea of that change but that we would consider looking at the start of our new beginning as just one small step…one small step in the direction of the life that we want for ourselves.
