CARES Clinic at VCU CARES Clinic at VCU is a pro-bono physical therapy clinic serving the Greater Richmond, Virginia area

The CARES Clinic is a student-run physical therapy clinic in the heart of Richmond. We serve the underinsured individuals of Richmond and surrounding communities, providing state of the art physical therapy. This free care is provided by VCU students under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The mission of the CARES Clinic at VCU is to serve individuals who would otherwise not receive physical therapy, use evidence based practice to optimize movement in our patients, and to foster a strong relationship between students and the Richmond community. As the Class of 27โ€™ head into their clinical rotations this summer, leadership of the CARES board has officially transitioned to the Class of 28โ€™. We will be sad to see them leave us, but excited to see what the future holds for them!

Community Accessible Rehabilitative Exercise Services (otherwise known as the CARES Clinic at VCU) is a nonprofit pro-bono physical therapy clinic serving the Richmond, Virginia area. Our clinic is run by student volunteers in Virginia Commonwealth Universityโ€™s doctor of physical therapy program. We are in our fourth year of operation.
