Join The Shed at Ballast Saturday, May 9 at 9:30am for mat pilates + a private shopping experience with Vana Chupp Studio.

Come join us at Ballast for a Mat Pilates class with The Shed, followed by a curated Mother’s Day shopping experience with Vana Chupp Studio. The first 10 orders will receive a free custom silhouette with purchase by a silhouette artist on site.
We’ll begin with a mat class on the SlackTide terrace. After class, enjoy a complimentary drink from Cirrus Vodka and a snack from Yellow Umbrella.

You’re encouraged to bring your family to join for refreshments and shopping beginning at 10:30am.

Tickets include:
– The Shed x Vana Chupp Pilates socks
– A drink from Cirrus Vodka
– A snack from Yellow Umbrella

Fish Camp will be open for lunch, along with additional provisions from Yellow Umbrella.

✨Meet Alexa ✨ Instructor at The Shed

Alexa is a Pilates instructor with six years of teaching experience and holds all Balanced Body Reformer certifications.

She has always had an appreciation for movement. Growing up, she played sports, which evolved into her passion for running. She quickly recognized the benefits of Pilates when she started incorporating it into her routine. She believes in a holistic approach to fitness and has found that Pilates is a valuable tool for enhancing athletic performance by improving body awareness, form, strength and stability. She loves to teach an athletic flow style class with seamless transitions that create a challenging and engaging class.

✨ Meet Claire ✨Instructor at The Shed

Claire is a certified yoga instructor and licensed occupational therapist with over a decade of experience integrating movement, mindfulness, and therapeutic practice. Claire began practicing yoga in 2003. She later completed her 200-hour teacher training with Yoga District in Washington, DC in 2013, followed by specialized trauma-sensitive yoga training with Connected Warriors in 2015. In 2016, she graduated with a masters in OT from Columbia University, where she received extensive training in anatomy, kinesiology, and mindfulness. Claire recently relocated to Richmond from Chevy Chase, MD with her husband, dog, and two young children.

Claire’s classes are challenging and playful while remaining accessible to all levels. Each practice emphasizes proper alignment and body awareness, helping students build stability and ease in their bodies. Claire guides students to explore their edges safely, building a practice designed to leave you feeling like your best self!
