MASH/MASLD
Formerly known as NASH and NAFLD, is fatty liver disease or steatotic liver disease, where excessive fat accumulates in liver cells. It can progress to a more severe form that can eventually lead to cirrhosis or liver transplant. Risk factors include high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes and insulin resistance, and use of alcohol. We are excited to offer a new diagnostic tool that checks for liver stiffness and gives us a clear picture of your overall risk. We should have our training done by the first of the year!
