August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day. The CDC estimates that 80,000 people in the U.S. lost their lives to drug overdoses last year. Overdose can affect anyone, and awareness saves lives. Know the signs to spot an overdose: -Slow or no breathing -Unconsciousness -Pale, cold, or blue skin/lips -Gurgling or choking sounds If you see these signs: -Call 911 immediately -Administer naloxone (Narcan) if available -Stay with the person until help arrives We’re coming together to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and support those affected. 💜
