Sundays are becoming one of my favorite days. I’ve been playing with ways to be present and fill my cup. This morning was especially restorative - perfect weather, leaves falling, watercolor exploration of a sumac (that I’ve always loved in our yard but never looked so closely to realize it’s a winged sumac), and listened to an old sermon by Howard Thurman and a little Trevor Hall.

Great quick trip to Buchanan for a float on the Upper James with ! It’s become an annual event to celebrate our seasonal positions and our partners. Time exploring the nooks and crannies of our watershed and getting on the water with our partners always fills my cup. They were troopers too! It was pouring this morning, but turned into a lovely day!
