Got my butt off the couch on this snowy day off in Richmond to visit Pine Camp! This is such a lovely city park and community center just a few min from home. The trail was awesome with beech trees and big oaks, and a little stream. Got the inside tour from Myron who told me all about the pottery, dance, theater, and art classes they do there. Can’t wait to bring more WILD Presence in 2026. To kick off 2026 we will be staring with one of my favorite animals…the Viginia Opossum! Michael Summers is a wildlife rehabilitator in Virginia and will be joining as our expert in January. Sundays are becoming one of my favorite days. I’ve been playing with ways to be present and fill my cup. This morning was especially restorative - perfect weather, leaves falling, watercolor exploration of a sumac (that I’ve always loved in our yard but never looked so closely to realize it’s a winged sumac), and listened to an old sermon by Howard Thurman and a little Trevor Hall.
