Phi Lambda Sigma Beta Nu Chapter

The Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS) Beta Nu chapter is the professional Pharmacy leadership society at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Pharmacy.

As the Beta Nu Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS), the National Pharmacy Leadership Society, we support pharmacy leadership commitment by recognizing leaders and fostering leadership development. Beta Nu’s mission is to promote leadership within the profession of pharmacy, particularly among student pharmacists, in an effort to advance the profession. Leadership emanates from the current membership of the Society. Membership is bestowed upon students, faculty, and alumni who demonstrate dedication, service, and leadership as pharmacy advocates. Through peer recognition, the Society encourages participation in all pharmacy activities. Such recognition aids in personal and professional growth, stimulates more active involvement, and promotes the greater effort toward the advancement of the profession of pharmacy. Beta Nu is excited about new initiatives, including Bone Marrow Donation Awareness through Be the Match and Leadership week to promote leadership at our school!

Last semester, we held our Phi Lambda Sigma Recognition Dinner to recognize some excellent student leaders at VCU School of Pharmacy!

We pride ourselves in our excellent leadership at VCUSoP and encourage our student body to apply to our chapter of PLS.

On Thursday, we held our annual Phi Lambda Sigma Recognition Dinner to commend and celebrate some of our excellent student leaders.

Congratulations again to those recognized, including:
Allison Shaunak, Amy Wu, Christine Li, Daniel Wong, Seth Gillen, Seth Morris, Simran Rohatgi, and William Norton from the Class of 2023 and Abigail Park, Albert Truong, Amir Behdani, Camille Schrier, Christine Tran, Emily Ko, Jessica Lai, Madison Noble, Sebastian Jaques, and Sterling Saunders from the Class of 2024.

We would also like to thank our honored guests Dean Joseph DiPiro, Dr. David Holdford, and Dr. Victoria Keel for attending our event and celebrating our award recipients.
