Throughout this series, we’ve covered a wide range of linen best practices, from analyzing loss data to strengthening linen education and staying current with policies, and this final tip brings it all together. From delivery to patient units to the collection of soiled linen, consistent rounding and follow-up are key to keeping processes on track and expectations clear.

It’s not just about movement. It’s about accountability, visibility, and reinforcing the standards that support safe, efficient care.

As National Laundry & Linen Week comes to a close this weekend, it’s a good time to reflect on why it matters so much to commercial & healthcare laundries.

It’s about recognizing the hardworking teams behind the scenes. Without our production, operations, service, transportation and support teams, laundry would just be laundry, not the carefully processed, ethically produced, and quality-driven work it truly is.

It’s also a moment to reflect on the standards we uphold every day to ensure hygienically clean, safe, and efficient results, and to consider how we continue improving through innovation, efficiency, and care.

And finally, it’s a time to thank the essential workers who rely on this linen every day, from the healthcare professionals who use it in hospitals and care facilities, to the patients whose care depends on it.

At HandCraft, we’re proud to recognize National Laundry & Linen Week because at its core, it’s about honoring the people who make the work possible. 💙
