VCU Health welcomes Dr. Prabhu Senthil-Kumar!

A plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a background in general surgery, Dr. Senthil-Kumar treats patients with burn wounds and burn scars, complex wounds that require advanced procedures and body contouring after significant weight loss. He also performs breast-related procedures such as breast reduction and reconstructive surgery following a mastectomy.

His advice to patients? "Actively engage in your own healthcare journey. Educate yourself about your disease, follow good lifestyle choices, establish a support system and follow medical advice. And be patient with yourself. The process of healing and recovery takes time."
