A very special thanks to CultureWorks Richmond for helping us get the word out about this new Root VR project. If you know any musicians, artists, or other performers or creatives who might be interested in providing their talents to help kids fight the impacts of social isolation, we’d love to work with them!
Call for talent! Root VR is looking for local performers, actors, musicians, magicians, puppeteers, authors, or any other talent they’d like to share to uplift children struggling with serious illnesses, social isolation, behavioral and emotional needs, and more. The Richmond-based company is gearing up to produce new 360-video based content for use with their Virtual Reality-based mental health and wellness tools for children and families -- they need YOUR gifts and talents! The goal is to create a number of short, fun silhouettes that can be shared with children in hospitals, residential care facilities, or overall social isolation. We want to capture your virtual concerts, dances, monologues, educational programming, and performances of any kind! With the increase in isolation and anxieties related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for creative alternatives to social interaction, learning, and entertainment is greater than ever; please consider being a part of this innovative solution to help support the mental health and wellness of children and families during their time of need!
