How does Debra bring JOY to clients and other Nabors?

After retiring from a long career in aging services, Debra was looking for a meaningful way to spend her time and Naborforce was the perfect fit. It gives her the flexibility to continue serving older adults while still being there for her aging parents and her four young grandkids.

Not only is Debra an amazing Nabor to our clients, she also is busy creating connections with other Nabors. As the Block Captain in the NOVA market, Debra helps bring Nabors together in fun and festive ways. 🎉

Bettie recently started using Naborforce when she had a few specific needs getting ready for a home big project. We were thrilled to be there for her on several different occasions to lend a hand, lighten the load, and make sure everything was good to go for her project.

✨ Nabor of the Week: Teresa! ✨

Meet Teresa, a retired nurse who has been serving as a Nabor in Charlottesville for over two years and bringing joy with every visit.

After retiring, Teresa felt it was time to give back in a meaningful way. She knew so many older adults don’t have family nearby to help with everyday tasks, and she wanted to make sure they could stay safely and comfortably in their homes for as long as possible.

“I’ve always loved helping others — that’s why I went into nursing. Being a Nabor lets me continue that. It brings me so much joy,” she shared.

Teresa says the people she visits have become like extended family, and the flexibility of being a Nabor gives her balance in life.

We’re grateful for the heart, compassion, and warmth she brings to every visit. 💛

Holly loves her daily visits with Nabors in the Dallas area. Whether it’s catching a movie, going out to lunch, walking the dog, or enjoying time at the lake or pool, there’s always something fun to do.

This time, Nabor Amy and Holly had a great afternoon at the movies!🎬 These visits keep Holly doing the things she loves and Amy has made a wonderful new friend.

Why is Jeni a Nabor?

Jeni became a Nabor after caring for her mother and her Grand-pa. She saw firsthand how much support and companionship can mean, and she felt called to help others in the same way.

She believes older adults should be cherished for their wisdom and the rich life experiences they carry. Being present with people in the moment brings her so much joy.💕

One of her clients, Alfreda, is originally from Germany. Since Jeni once lived there too, they formed an instant and meaningful connection. Over time, their bond has grown into something truly special. Jeni didn't grow up with a grandmother, and Alfreda has become just that to her.
