That's a wrap! We had the perfect day to enjoy our fall Pack the Track!

It was so great to see so many employees and students get out and enjoy this beautiful day and get in some midday exercise with one another. 😎

EKU Employee Wellness, Campus Rec and BluMine were all happy to serve and to cheer you on while you went the distance.

Thank you to all who attended and, as always, we look forward to our next big event!

Today is Pack the Track!!! 😎

It is a beautiful day to get outside and have some fun on campus! EKU Employee Wellness, Campus Rec and BluMine will all be at the track from 10am-1pm to cheer on all who attend and get some laps in around the track.

We will have oranges, bananas, Gatorade, water and snack bars to help fuel your walk or run with your fellow colleagues. Each lap around the track equals the number of times that your name will go into a prize drawing. All who attend will walk away with fun swag! 😍

We hope to see you today and high five you on a workout complete! 🤩

September Challenge!!!

The Five Alive Challenge invites you to eat 150 servings of fruits and vegetables in 30 days (5 per day). Swap out less healthy, calorie-rich foods for fruits and vegetables, increasing the amount of nutrition you receive and decreasing the number of empty calories. What is a serving size? Here are some examples:

1 serving of fresh fruit (tennis ball) 🍉
½ cup of fresh 100% fruit juice 🥃
¼ cup of dried fruit 🍒
2 tablespoons raisins 🍇
½ cup cooked vegetables 👩‍🍳
1 cup of 100% vegetable juice 🥃
2 cups of raw leafy greens 🥗
2 medium carrots 🥕🥕

To complete the challenge, track 150 servings of fruits and vegetables in WellRight!

Madison County Farmers Market is happening, NOW! Farmers are here until 1pm at the Carter building parking lot. 🍅

It sure is a beautiful day to get outside so be sure to pop by and support your local farmers. ☀️

EKU is serving lemonade and snacks to those who stop by. Employees may sign in for an end of season prize drawing and for wellness points.

We are just one month away from our end of summer/kick off to fall Pack the Track! Be sure to mark your calendar for this healthy event aimed at getting you away from the desk and moving around the track with fellow colleagues.

Refreshments will be served and there will be giveaways! This year you will walk away with a brand new water bottle and the chance to win in our grand prize drawing. Each lap around the track equals an entry into the drawing!

You can stop by any time between 10am and 1pm on September 16th, 2025 to get your laps in. See you then!!! 🚶🏃🚶
