There are six programs within IVPP:
Bridging the GAP: A Youth Violence Prevention Program - BTG
BTG provides youth and adults who are victims of violent injuries with a hospital based intervention and community based services that address the needs of patients and families. Project EMPOWER: Intimate Partner Violence Program
In collaboration with community partners, EMPOWER provides direct care to victims and families experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV) and sexual assault (SA). EMPOWER also conducts evidence based trainings designed to help providers identify and respond to IPV/SA. GR-ACY - Get Real:Alcohol/Drug Choices & Consequences for Youth
GR-ACY is an interactive educational program that addresses the choices and consequences involved in alcohol and drug related activities. This is done through direct observation of trauma patients, educational workshops of the effects of drugs/alcohol and direct participation in simulation activities. Project IMPACT
Project IMPACT, along with community partners, provides education about injury and violence prevention within the school setting. Students engage in trauma simulation and receive resources to make safe alternatives choices when confronted with high risk taking behaviors and situations. ITSDP - International Trauma System Development Program
ITSDP serves as an educational and training resources to promote collaborative efforts at the international level in the development of local, regional, and nation wide injury prevention initiatives. AED: Awareness, Education and Documention
AED is an injury awareness and education program for staff, patients and families. Adult and pediatric units involved in the care of the injured post educational bulletin boards on injury prevention topics coinciding with national safety initiatives.
