🌟 Ticket’s Journey 🌟

On August 12th, Ticket came to us after a fall showing lethargy, pain, and loss of appetite. After exam, radiographs, lab work, and ultrasound, we found a ruptured splenic mass with significant internal bleeding.

With urgency on our side, all three of our doctors scrubbed in, and Dr. Adams performed an emergency splenectomy. Ticket recovered well and received a lifesaving blood transfusion — thank you to Gunner, our donor hero!

Pathology confirmed hemangiosarcoma, but Ticket’s family chose to keep fighting. We partnered with MedVet Cincinnati, where Ticket received two doses of the Yale EGFR/HER2 tumor vaccine, while we administered 5 rounds of doxorubicin chemotherapy here at SVC.

🎉 Today, Ticket has completed his final round of chemo and is doing wonderful!

We’re incredibly proud of this strong boy and hopeful he gets many more happy, high-quality moments with his family. ❤️🐾

Creek was injured in a cattle accident on his family’s farm and came to us with a fractured femur. Dr. Hamilton admitted him and made sure his pain was under control, and the next day Dr. Skipworth performed a successful fracture repair using a bone plate.

We’re thrilled to share that Creek is already back on his farm, tail wagging, healing beautifully, and living his best life with his sweet family. ❤️🐾
