Tuckaway-West Opening in 1971, Tuckaway-West was the very first Tuckaway school. Opening in 1971, Tuckaway West was the very first Tuckaway school.

This location proudly maintains a close-knit family feel. Parents frequently comment on how many hugs their children receive. West's separate classrooms provide close attention for younger children and the large school-age classroom features a sunny back porch area for woodworking, painting, or other crafts. The school's small group sizes allow its caring staff to know every child's unique personality. Outside, West offers acres of playground space. In fact, the playground is so big that everyone at the school can go outside at the same time and still have plenty of room, so children can run and play freely under the caring supervision of staff. Tuckaway West also features two swimming pools: a wading pool for budding swimmers, and a larger pool suitable for swimming lessons and play. Tuckaway West can be easy to miss, because it is "tucked away" in the West End (but still convenient to I-64).
